No Man is an Island!

God never meant for us to do life alone, or to bear our burdens alone.  He tells us even to confess our sins--not just to Him for forgiveness, but also to one another for healing!  (My pastor just preached a wonderful sermon on this here.)

As I contemplated (which means I was thinking and thinking and thinking) about all that he preached, I heard a song lyric as if it were amplified in my radio above all other sounds around me.

"You don't have to fight me, I am for you."

Only part of a song, and its meaning is that we are in this together.

But how many times do we fight even the Lord Most High?

How many times do we fight against His way and His will?

Why do we not want what He wants?

Why do we think we need what we want, instead of accepting what He offers?

Like the song says, "You don't have to fight [Him], [He] is for you!"

Through setbacks and progress...He is for us!
Through loss and gain...He is for us!
Through the good and the bad...He is for us!
When it is easy and when it is hard....He is for us!

When He calls you to do His will, you don't have to fight Him...He is for you!

"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8:31
