Our Homeschool Plans - All the Rest of our Selections! 2014-15

I've told you about our Bible, History, Language Arts, Science, Math, Art, Music, and Foreign Language.

What a FEAST!  And that is not all that we will have on the table!

This year, one of the things I will focus on with my children is cultivating  good habits.  Good habits are a foundation upon which all of life will sit.  We will begin with the habit of Attentiveness, and then Obedience, and then a few more.

Charlotte Mason says it takes 6-8 weeks to establish each habit, so I have a goal  of doing, at minimum, six new habits this year, but hoping to get eight habits formed.

We will be using Simply Charlotte Mason's "Laying Down the Rails" (book and children's books).  I have heard so many wonderful things about this set that I cannot pass it up!  I am certain this will be the highlight of our year, second only to our Bible study time!

In addition to our resource for habits, I want to share with you the other materials I have on hand for our year this year!

My lesson planner comes from Mardel.  It is called "A Simple Plan" planner.  I. Love. It.  For the past two years, I've had a binder set up to keep the necessities, such as a calendar, lesson plan pages, attendance forms, and so forth.  Well, this planner has it all included!

My main objective in getting a planner like this for this year is so I stick to the plan better.  It is so easy to toss out a sheet of paper with lessons you didn't do and rewrite everything.  This year, though, I am working on a habit of my own:  sticking with the plan!

On top of a planner (which will be for me to plan ahead), I am also going to use special record books from Notgrass Company to keep up with what all we actually do!  This will include the planned lessons, but also has space to write down what my children learn at church, in community, and so forth!  I adore these record books!

So there you have it!  That's our whole list of curriculum/books in a few blog posts!  For the next few weeks, I will be busy doing the planning of all these great resources!

So tell me....what are YOU using in your home school this year??
