Jesus states in John 8:32, &...Great post, Michelle! Jesus states in John 8:32, "The truth shall make you free." And then a few verses down, it states, "Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin," and the "If the Son therefore shall make you free, you are free indeed." Our freedom is definitely freedom from sin and the wrath of sin. God's grace doesn't give us freedom to sin but the freedom to live lives that are pleasing to the Lord. We desire to obey His commands because they please Him and are evidence of His working in our lives. Faith without works is dead. He will tell many that claimed to love Him that He didn't know them because they did not obey Him. What He commands is for our good and the good of others, ALWAYS! He was nailed to a cross and suffered for our sin. He didn't do this so we could sin but so we can be freed from it.
