As I breathe in, he breathes out. We are One. My scent is the essence of everything he has dreamed of since he was a boy.
His hand softly caresses my neck and I am suddenly and unashamedly aware of my body. His need to drink of my beauty causes my spirit to sigh deeply.
I am his anchor, the stillness that draws him in.
It is sweet and reverent; it is altogether holy.
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
Genesis 2:23
Men need sex the way women need attention.
If we deprive our husbands from enjoying us sexually, several things may occur:
- A husband is left to various temptations, including infidelity.
- A wife may become mentally vulnerable and spiritually weak.
- Lack of intimacy and oneness. Sex is how most men show intimacy.
- Frustration and anger.
- Divorce
God speaks of times when we should refrain from the act of making love, but otherwise it is a privilege to enjoy our husbands sexually.
Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
I Cor. 7:5
"'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.
This verse speaks more of being unclean than forbidding sex during a woman's issue. However, I would refrain for sanitary reasons.
Lev. 15:19
